Lajos was a lawyer and a loyal friend of the “Hashomer Hatzair” movement from the 1930’s. He served as the legal consultant for the movement and represented it at Zionist Congresses and in many other events. He was one of the founders of the “Borohov Circle”. After the Germans invaded Hungary on 19.3.1944 he was arrested and all the efforts to rescue him failed. He was deported to Auschwitz where he perished. His children, Aladár and Éva made aliya.
